I tried Cognifit for a while. The scoring was so erratic,so I gave up on it.

I can’t play brain games. I get addicted and play them compulsively like Candy Crush. And I’m pretty sure they were not making me smarter, just better at playing them.

I’ve had a better time with crossword puzzles, as long as they’re moderately difficult. Not easy enough where I’m flying through them mindlessly, and not too hard that I hit a wall.

Lumosity really helped me. The yearly subscription is worth it and gives you access to so many games.

My cognifit score.

The processing speed is completely at odds with what I get via the Test my brain site for processing speed . That’s invariably better than 0-1 people out of 10.

My brain age is 57. My actual age 62. Not brilliant, but not terrible either.

I like redstone crosswords. There are so many different levels of difficulty. Activates my brain.
