Brain fart - Trying to remember what movie this phrase is from

I am stuck on one those things that, in most cases, the internet is able to help you out these days, but I am having a hard time finding it through searches.

I remember this scene in a movie where a mayor has died. The boss leaves a incompetent person or persons in charge of him and they cremate him.

When “the boss” returns he says he left a note that said “Mayor may not be cremated”, but they interpreted as “May or may not be cremated”

Then “the boss” says something like, “And how did you make this executive decision?”

Anyway, its bothering me that I cant remember it and hoping someone out there remembers this scene.

I believe I saw it at parents old house so it probably would have been sometime in the 1980’s I saw the movie.

Is it The Burial with Jamie Fox?

According to the single google result I was able to find

"Good Grief a Howie Mandel sitcom on Fox about a funeral director.

One bit that sticks in mind after all these years is they are responsible for burying the mayor and he’s accidentally cremated.

When Howie asks the assistant why he cremated him, the assistant shows him the paper that says, “Mayor may not be cremated.”

Howie doesn’t understand until reads it again as “May or may not be cremated.”

When Howie asks the assistant how he decided, the assistant mimes flipping a coin."

Yeah, that must be it. Had no idea it was Howie Mandel. Wish I could find a clip of that scene.

I considered it couldve been a tv show, but thought I would go with my gut.

So much for my gut.

I found a youtube channel that had the first 6 episodes and skimmed those but none of those episodes was about a mayor.

Thank you for the attempt anyway. Its not a huge deal. I am surprised you found that much. I thought this was probably going to be a dead end thread.

I found a few episodes as well but cant find the particular scene.
