Bookstore that buys your books are so cheap

I remember bringing in like 25-40 books and getting around 5-10$. They then sell the books for anywhere from 5-20$ each

Sorry I’m being negative. Just grinds my gears because I’m trying to get rid of my books.

Selling textbooks is depressing. They charge top dollar for most books and buy them back for peanuts. I bought an algebra book for a hundred dollars. I went on several different sites to sell it and it was literally worth a quarter. 25 cents. I had about 6 books I used in my classes. I tried to sell them back and for all of them together I couldn’t even make the minimum $5 it takes for them to take them. Ended up giving them all to the library.

Not much media that holds a good value. I guess rare old books can be worth some. And some vinyl can go up in price after you buy it, especially vinyl that got released after the cd took over, because it’s rare with few pressings… Other media loses most of their value once it is bought.

I donate the books I no longer need to Little Libraries around town.
