I just found out that a town near me has a library I didn’t know about. I am going to check it out hopefully in the next couple of days. Some of the libraries in our county also sell used books pretty cheaply ($1 hardcovers $0.50 for softcover). It should be cool also to browse through some books in the general catalog that I haven’t seen.
That’s cool @keepsimple. I love libraries. There are 2 in my city. Where I used to live there were 3. I like that if one library doesn’t have a book I want the other might
For some reason, I like to buy my books. Probably because I like to read two to seven books at once and that makes reading a slow go. So, I don’t like to have a deadline.
I usually like to own them too, but sometimes I like to just skim books instead of thoroughly read them. A lot of times too I might buy a used copy on Amazon of a book I really like that I find in the library.
I saw a really cool book on how comic books are made that I was browsing at the library… it’s something I am a little curious about but not that intensely interested in. I love DK (Dorsely-kinsley) books because you can pretty much open them to any page and find an interesting article. I do tend to read a lot of nonfiction. It’s nice our library even has sheet music books to practice piano with.
I love the library, too. I think it’s an awesome concept of being able to check out books and read them for free. I think that was Benjamin Franklin’s idea, the lending library. I also get used books on Amazon sometimes. They always have what i’m looking for.
Oh fun! What a great activity!
