i would like some books about how schizophrenia/schizoaffective works. it helps me deal with my disorder better when i read books that explain symptoms and effects. i try to look at my issues as logically as i can because it helps me figure out warning signs if my mental health is starting to decline. i also like to learn as much as i can because it helps me understand myself better, as a majority of the time i do not know who i am and sometimes i get confused over my own behaviors, so its nice to be able to have books that give me reasons as to why i act or think the way i do.
i own the book schizoaffective disorder simplified but i would like to read some other books that are not personal biographies or a non sz person talking about how they deal with their sz relative/spouse/kid ect (i hate those kinds of books)
i also would like some books that have characters with schizophrenia. the book challenger deep by neal shusterman is a really good one, i think i would just like books that have characters in it like me. so if you know any… send them my way?

There’s a very good book from a spanish writer, but I don’t know if it is available in English. The book is called “Las voces del laberinto”.

Psychology books will help a lot (it’s standard knowledge to mention that schizophrenia has psychological, emotional, biological and genetical factors). I started to study Jung’s theories and etc, but you can also watch TED Talks about psychology, epigenetics, neuroplasticity and schizophrenia (TED Talks about schizophrenia are full of personal stories actually).
