I really want to get a bonsai tree. Can’t have any pets but I think my family can live with a bonsai tree
My tree that I’m getting is called the Pepper Tree and its five years old
i want one too
they are expensive tho and hard to keep i have heard and it might need special fertiliser, i would do my homework first if i was you and ask how to keep them and things
£40 actually for the whole kit including fertilizer (I know I’ll have to buy more though), pots and pruning scissors , and a instructions manual . I agree, I need to do research though as I’m no expert. It’s a big responsibility.
If you ever buy one, make sure to transplant it into a new pot with fresh soil/fertilizer. I bought one years ago and it slowly rotted away over a couple weeks because it was apparently meant to be a novelty and not last long. The soil resembled a loofa or dried sponge. I read online that a lot of places just sell them as temporary decorations and use soil that is convenient for them to transport it, not for the health of the plant.
If you know someone with one, ask them for a cutting that you can plant. It takes a while to grow to become a full tree again, but it’s free (if they don’t charge you). Cloning bonsais is apparently pretty popular.
Thank you for the advice I’m so excited about getting it home tomorrow…
It is tinier than I expected lol But I do love it
