It supposedly helps with neuroinflammation. I bought it but didn’t benefit much. YMMV.
Yeah, and the same people who grow and sell these seeds are the same people who believe a rhinoceros horn is an aphrodisiac and are hunting them into extinction.

Without sounding trite, I must warn you against “alternative medicine”. If these seeds were actually good for anything they would be incorporated into regular medicine. Just be careful.
LS! There is some evidence that it helps with schizophrenia:
Some side effects from webmd.com
Bleeding disorders : Black seed might slow blood clotting and increase the risk of bleeding. In theory, black seed might make bleeding disorders worse.
Diabetes : Black seed might lower blood sugar levels in some people. Watch for signs of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) and monitor your blood sugar carefully if you have diabetes and use black seed.
Low blood pressure : Black seed might lower blood pressure. In theory, taking black seed might make blood pressure become too low in people with low blood pressure.
Surgery : Black seed might slow blood clotting, reduce blood sugar, and increase sleepiness in some people. In theory, black seed might increase the risk for bleeding and interfere with blood sugar control and anesthesia during and after surgical procedures. Stop using black seed at least two weeks before a scheduled surgery
ive been taking black seed oil on and off since the beginning of the year. havent taken it recently because i started zoloft and in my research i found black seed oil increases serotonin so they should probably not be combined.
i was mainly interested in the mental effects of black seed oil but the physical is good too as it seems to effect alot of different parts of the body. a few things i know about it is its an hdac inhibitor which if you dont know what that is you can look on google about what those help with. it is also an AChEI, increases serotonin, also an antihistamine. it reduces opioid tolerance and has an effect on gaba as well.
there are many studies done on it just search black seed oil and any of those receptors and youll see them
one thing i notice from taking it is that it almost has an immediate effect from taking it, kind of hard to describe completely but you feel it in your eyes. you can tell which brands are more potent. i had good results with it tho i stopped with it at first because i was really anxious at a worse point of benzo withdrawal and it can be quite stimulating
I am Arab and we eat black seed with food, salads, cheese, etc
And no it doesn’t help sz, there’s no supplement that helps sz, I tried them all, Sarcosine, Lion’s Mane, NAC, PS, fish oil, DMG, TMG, Glycine, Ginseng, Ashwagandha, Bacopa, Lithium orotate, Ginkgo, etc Don’t waste your money, time and possibly health.
The supplements companies are scamming all its users and stealing their money taking advantage of them lmao
Antioxidants improve health but you can get them naturally from food.
