I am surprised by all the metal heads on this forum! I just have a question for you guys. Which do you prefer black or death metal?

Im not that dark. I prefer thrash and heavy metal.
ie Megadeth, sabbath, stuff like that.

I have a bias against black metal because my best friend was blasting some when he committed suicide.

As a style of musical composition i prefer black metal. I prefer instrumentals if i can find them as i dont care for lyrics

I own a book about black metal, LORDS OF CHAOS. Itā€™s strange for it to be in my possession. I saw a TV show years ago about a teenager who kills the principal of his school, a book written on it titled LORDS OF CHAOS, but I think the book I bought is another book and the one on dateline is out of print.

I am generally not a fan of metal of any kind. However, I do like some folk metal.
