Best way to cook spaghetti bolognese?

It’s fairly easy I know. I have lamb mince and the jarred bolognese.I have onions and mushrooms but the mushrooms are frozen and I’ve never cooked them from frozen before. Do I just use pop the mushrooms from frozen in with the lamb mince then the onions and cook.

What’s your way to cook spaghetti bolognese with same ingredients I have?

I would just chuck the lot in a large saucepan and let it simmer on a low heat for 45 minutes. You will soon know when its cooks, cos the mince will brown off - and the fat from it will cook the mushrooms and onions. Just stir it now and again.

thank you @Naarai Should I brown the mine off first? Then chuck the onions and frozen mushrooms then simmer?

Personally i would chuck the lot in, in one go. The fat from the mince should stop it from burning.

Upto you.

Its an easy dish - you wont foul it up lol. Add the sauce when its nearly cooked.

Don’t overcook the spaghetti

Add the oil to a big based pan and gently fry to the onion, garlic and carrots.
Once the onions have turned translucent, add the beef and brown.
Add all the other ingredients, stir and leave to simmer for 30 minutes (add a little more water while cooking if needed).
Cook the spaghetti for 12 minutes, drain slightly, then add to the Bolognese sauce with a little of the spaghetti water.
Mix it all in well then serve.

Will make several portions. Do you have a freezer at your place?
