Is mince the same as ground beef?
Did you drain the fat?
yes, you call it ground beef i think,
@Ninjastar i just browned it and added a jar of sauce, i really need someone to help me but i dont cook much but i want try and cook more
500g was way too much and it had been in the freezer for a 6 months
After browning it, you have to drain the grease out. And some people even rinse it to get rid of the extra grease, but that’s all up to preference.
What I’d recommend is to use a sturdy spatula to keep chopping it while it cooks until there’s no red left that you can see.
Add sauce at the end
Optionally add cheese and serve in a bun for a good cheese steak like sandwich
Or throw it in tomato sauce for bolanese
Make hamburgers
I can’t believe what I’m reading with my Philly native eyes! A cheese steak is made with SHAVED STEAK. not ground beef!
it was all browned, i added sauce after it browned and simmered for 10 mins, i added goats cheese at the near the end
its just that there was so much 500g like wth am i supposed to do with it now lol
i think i ruined it when i put it back in the pot, i squirted tomato ketchup over it
god, i thought mince was easy
Portion it out and freeze it and eat that concoction when you need food.
What sauce did you put in?
the sauce was just a small jar and i like it swimming but it was just too much meat, it was loydd grossman tomato and chilli sauce and a little left over bolognese sauce,
