Benztropine/cogentin question

I take 2 mg of benztropine- 1mg at night and 1 mg in the morning. Does everyone else break it up like that or do you take it all at once, once per day?

I’m supposed to take it twice a day but I take it just at night. Mines 2mg.

I split mine up. 1mg in the morning and 1mg at night.

I was wondering if I could get lazy and take it all at night but I guess not

Ask your pdoc because I remember at one point I was taking it all in the morning. I’m not sure if it really matters but it doesn’t hurt to ask.

I take one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Seems to work for me

Doctor says I can take it any time of the day as needed. I usually end up taking two 1mg pills in the evening, and none at any other time of the day. It settles me down sometimes so I can sleep.

@agent101g. Do you notice the side effects that you had that made you need benztropine towards your next dose or are the side effects controlled when you only take it once per day?

The only side effect I get is dry mouth, and it usually happens right after I take the medicine and lasts an hour or two after I take it.
