Benztropine anyone?

I wanted to know if anyone is on this for anxiety

I take it twice a day but it doesn’t help with anxiety at all and it isn’t helping with my td either. Now I have to go on that new td med, I forget what it’s called and guess I will stop taking the benztropine.

My nurse practitioner prescribed it for stabilizing anxiety and my mood.

I used to take benztropine for the side effects of other medications mainly zyprexa and haldol. Never heard of it being used for anxiety but I hope it works for you!

I had never heard of it being used for anxiety either. I’m on it to counter the akathisia from my Haldol.

Nah I was skeptical at first anyways. The pharmacist said it isn’t used for that so I got to call my psychiatry office tomorrow and tell them maybe there was a mix up.

I take this and it helps with my anxiety and akathisia. It really helps me.

Maybe the pharmacist was wrong.

That’s what it did for me stave off the side effects.
