Hey everyone. i have had anxiety problems for many years now after a period in hospital when they overmedicated me so after that period I got anxiety attacks which sometimes lead to panic attacks. When having anxiety i also experiience psychotic thoughts that people are doing this to me. If i use benzodizapines these stuff goes away and I feel great. They work much better than the antipsychotic medicine i have (Clozapine.)

lest I get addicted

I have used benzodiazepines for many years now and am not addicted or need to take more for them to work

Eventually you will become addicted.
Can you stop them any time?
When i quit abruptly, i had catatonic episode
I once took one before a procedure. I may as well have rated sugar pills. It did absolutely nothing for me

I really need to take the benzo because i have bad anxiety which lasts for many hours. without the benzo my life would be alot worse

I was taking ativan 2.5 mg x3 per day.
Big doses cos i had anxiety.
Now I don’t have anymore.

i found benzos in my early 20s for my anxiety. it was xannax at first. i was a drinker and i ended up blacking out after parties from just taking one or two. that and adderal. i becane a junky with that stuff. ended up shooting adderal and clonopin. most pleasure ive ever experienced in the space of fuve minutes. dont recomend it. clonopin worked in my later 20s. i did disolve it in my mouth but i took it to manage my anxiety. was addicted though. got cut off in RI once and needed doses of my friends ativan to keep the withdrawal away.
clonazepam is good for anxiety though. it helps a lot. just dont abuse it.

I’m sorry (or maybe I should be thankful!) benzodiazepines never did anything good for me. Yes, they did (midazolam (Dormicum) was the best) help me sleep, but that sleep was of such a poor quality I might as well not have slept at all.
I never noticed an effect, whether good or bad, on anxiety.
Once I overdosed (not a suicide attempt; just wanted to calm down and sleep a long time) on clonazepam (about 90 tablets of 2 mg each) and I remember little or nothing of what happened for some substantial time afterwards, but I’m told I vandalised my room at the hospital where I ended up. It sounds like some of my more violent DID personalities was/were triggered.

benzos work short term but if you take them for extended time your anxiety actually gets worse due to gaba downregulation
I know someone who is prescribed benzos for anxiety/panic attacks. They seem to work.

I used therapy for my anxiety. I have addiction issues - don’t need another 12 Step program in my life.

Benzos are so controversial. As its classified as a controlled substance.
Abused by kids and musicians. Now cut into Fentynal and makes them more deadly.
It also does what it says it does. Treat anxiety.
But they work for me as a daily 4X a day. I’ve been on them 15-20 years.
A long time with out increasing dosage.
My docs stopped trying to convince me to get off them.
I’m okay with being dependent on them for the rest of my life like all my other Meds.

The whole trick to benzos is not to take them everyday, just as needed on a PRN basis.
Also go low, don’t take high doses.
Do this and you will avoid addiction issues.
