Hi! I’m not sure if anyone else on this forum has bipolar disorder (I’m still here because everyone here is lovely) but has anyone been on Pristiq? Anyone who has been on this medicine can chime in.
I saw my old nurse practitioner today and told her about my recent hypomanic episode, expressing that I was distressed by being in this state of mind. Has this medication helped anyone? What should I expect?
I thought pristiq was an antidepressant? Why would your dr put you on it for mania?
I have sz but I take generic pristiq for some low mood. @spacemonkey
I don’t think I have any side effects. It seems to be a good antidepressant. It works better for me than other ones.
She told me that my current antidepressant (Lexapro) can contribute to my hypomania, so she wanted to see if that will curb the hypomanic symptoms.
