Back in my group

I went to my support group today after being AWOL for almost three months. It was important for me to go. I’ve been making MANY mistakes for a long period of time and if I want people to help me get back on my feet, then I am going to have to help myself. And i don’t mean to the mashed potatoes and gravy. It went OK. I talked I joked, but not a lot.

I discovered something. People don’t show it, but some people are afraid of me. I wasn’t aware of it but the other guys were afraid of me until I relaxed and showed I meant no harm. I can be mean but I’m not really mean. Anyway, there were about 15 people there. Near the end there was a big confrontation between this lady and the women leading the group. The lady felt the leader didn’t like her and told her so. And she ended up walking out. Oh well, at least it wasn’t me. But yeah, my sisters are frustrated with me but I earned a few points by going to that group. Hope you guys are doing OK. Or as best you can. Take care.

It’s nice of you to make this effort to help yourself. Support group is a good place for socialising with people and for getting back on track.

Thanks for this updating post.
