As mature humans, we are part baby, part adult

Because human life is too complex to include something as final as being weaned.

“Mature humans” is an oxymoron.

I only used the word mature to mean I wasn’t referring to children. I agree with your comment often.

I tend to give humans the benefit of the doubt in terms of intelligence. I think with glass half full than empty. I think animals can be smart too. But maturity. Nope :-1:. But I’m way more mature than that BMW who drives like a maniac. I think how you’re driving says a lot about maturity. And I’m a calm mature driver but still immature overall !

I’ve only recently become what you would call “mature” in the last six years or so. And I’m 57 years old. I’m a rather late bloomer.

I’m in the club. I hear them say drug addicts mature much slower. And that I am. LSD which is my favorite drug I’ve ever done supposedly keeps the brain “young forever”…some say it’s a good thing to be spry forever…especially if you’re a creative person…but regardless, I’m sprightly for the rest of my life!!! WOoooooooooooooooo.

Sorry if this post is triggering I’m just being real. :\

Mature and Old are two different things.
Being mature is desireable, it means knowing when do the things necessary to promote the wellbeing of those around you, such as paying your bills on time, keeping your place neat and clean, taking your meds when Rx’d, etc…

Old if your talking about years is fine, as long as you still enjoy being a kid at heart. Old is relative anyway.
My favorite folks to be around when I was under 20 years old myself was with the folks over 80 years…they were perfect to me, they had enough experience in life know what was really important, and what wasn’t worth getting excited over. They never seemed “Old” to me… and I hope I can be like them when I get that age.

My dad is 76 and has the emotional maturity of someone about 15

Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional.

due to the drastic mostly upward changes involved in growing from baby to adult growing up is almost equally mandatory… lol actually growing old is not so mandatory due to wars and violence…so growing up may be more mandatory… and growing old may be optional… oo too much im sorry I was trying to be a smart ass but I couldn’t shut up…

Sometime, we should decide we want to be good people. But often, we are too angry.
