Yes a little. 
The British involvement in Greek affairs at the time was nothing short of disgraceful. I don’t know if you’re familiar with the “Malayan Emergency”, but it places British brutality in its dealing with communist insurgents in its broader context.

The British had a agreement with Stalin that some nations should be under Soviet “ideological” control, while Greece on British control.
