Hi, I was on aripiprazole for about 7 months. In the last 1 or two months, when I was tapering off the drug, I started to experience a weakening erection. I have been off the drug for a month now and the problem has not improved. I was wondering whether any other users of this drug, and this drug only, have experienced a similar issue, and whether or not it resolved itself. Please answer swiftly, as I am feeling really terrible about this problem and don’t know what I might do if I can’t get some kind of answers. Doctors have been of no help so far, and the one person I thought would be most supportive when I told them about it just got angry at me every time I tried to tell them how I felt about it.

I am 19 and from the UK. I am off aripiprazole (have been for a month now) and have not been given anything new. I have not exhibited any symptoms of my illness since coming off the drug, and hope that it will stay that way.

Dont know what to say… high dose of ap causes ed… try to lower it down …!!! I am on 3mg rispridral have not had any trouble related to reproductive health… how in this tender age u have suffered sz…
I am not on the antipsychotic anymore. I do not take the medication. The doctor took me off of it a month ago. Yeah, it sucks, I have been thinking of killing myself tbh.

I would rather not talk about my mental issues as it upsets me a lot. I was just hoping to get some advice on this issue from someone else who had experienced it. I saw a guy who had the same thing on here and wanted to talk to him but cannot message him as I am a new member.
@Gtx1990 please help out here my friend. Your post was one of only three I could find on the internet about people experiencing this problem due to abilify.

Lots of men take Abilify on this forum. Have not heard about this problem.

I did get better,but I still take vigra sometimes during sex.My erection was like 80% without viagra,if I wanna perform better viagra makes it 100%.Thats all

I had erectile dysfunction due to meds so I lowered my dose. now I have erection somehow weak but still better than nothing. I think it needs time…

I have lost my libido on Abilify and I am only on 5mg now…
