Without this post becoming religious, I would like to know how many of you are triggered by spiritual things?

I’m triggered by the fact that this thread will probably have to be watched closely.
No, I’m not triggered by religious or spiritual things. When I have been in psychosis in the past, maybe so, but not when I’m stable.

I have an interest in religion and spirituality. They dont trigger me at all, but i can understand why its a forbidden topic on this forum.

Nope. I love it. And i think if someone is triggered by it, then its on them to work on that and strive to be less triggered. Because its everywhere. You’d have to never leave your home to stear clear of it i reckon.

I am not triggered by religious things. Nor am I triggered by much of anything other than my own person dungeon of nightmare I get every night.

I would say all my positive symptoms are spiritual religious psychosis which can creep into my negatives.
I still have faith and the meds help me function and still enjoy faith with spiritual psychosis. The meds keep me from believing my psychosis.

Depending how spiritual strong and balanced I am. It says body, mind and spirit. All three pillars need to be strong in balance. When I mix alcohol with meds for example it doesn’t do my spirit any good and I am vulnerable to triggering religious belief statements.

I used to be triggered by it, but not too much anymore. It’s been awhile since my psychosis.

It’s one of my biggest delusions but I can engage in my own personal practice without it being triggering .

I’m triggered by those things and words. My gdad is a deacon and it’s hard not to think about it.

Yes, it is one of the biggest triggers. I was even triggered by magic in a children’s movie lately. I had to leave the cinema…when there were 6 y/o kids watching. But it varies a lot.

They still work …we have heaps of everything based on them… but we are also not recommended to do this for mental patients, but I have been there since childhood, so it seems to be normal
