Yes I take my injection every 3 weeks and cloz every day (night and morning)
I think they mean a PRN, in this case. (PRN means “as needed”)
So, for example, I take Seroquel, Latuda, and Lithium Carbonate, every day. Those meds are to keep me stable.
But, if I do get more symptomatic, all of a sudden, I can take Clonazepam. It’s my PRN. I take it to calm me down and slow my thoughts.
I agree regarding PRN’s turning into full time habits. That is so true.
Annoying as it is , what a great idea for calorie intake! I’m not fat but know how easy it is to eat on AS’s. Seroquel doesn’t make me hungry anymore. But Amisulpride! Oh my gosh I have an appetite since it has been increased. So I know it’s the medication making me feel hungry.
I stick to a low fat diet which can get boring. Better than putting lots of weight on though.
Thanks @Joker xx
Yes, I take my meds everyday. In 4 divided doses (I have physical health problems too). But, I’m not dependable about taking them, so my husband manages my meds for me. I just have to swallow.
I’m on 6 medications and I take my medications twice a day
I take my meds everyday. They keep me well. I have no hallucinations or delusions. I’m able to work thanks to them.
I switched to monthly injections because I can’t seem to remember to take pills.
I take my meds every morning and night, except when I don’t. Occasionally I just don’t take my night meds, although I know I should, ala Poe’s “Imp of the Perverse”. Consciously self-destructive. Not sure what to make of that.
I give myself monthly injections of antipsychotics
