Are you gifted with computers?

I want to be gifted with computers. It would make life easier if I was gifted with computers. For example, my GPS on my cell phone, didn’t work and I didn’t know how to fix it.

I’m proficient with them. I used to be a network admin / systems analyst for a rather large company. Burned out in that role.

Im okay. I understand them to some extent but I get stuck every so often. Luckily I have a couple of friends who work in IT who can steer me in the right direction. They helped put together my current build <3

I worked with a couple people proficient with computers. One was a good programmer and the other was a computer builder. They say it’s easy but I can’t imagine how it would. Lol

I work as a software engineer and gotta confess I’m definitely NOT proficient with computers. I was a late bloomer, having written my first “hello world” program at the ripe age of 19. I’ve always been afraid of installing/updating an OS on my work station. I’ve avoided Linux even though it provides much greater control over features, and ultimately greater security (if used correctly) than Windows or MacOS. I know little about networks and communication protocols. I can’t keep up with advances in AI and I even find it hard to stay up to date in my particular niche.

Of course, there are people who call IT support because their computer doesn’t start while unplugged. There are many levels of proficiency. I have friends who are definitely gifted, some even hold a PhD and work with cutting edge technology and concepts, others have moved away from programming, finding more suitable jobs in business, marketing or sales.

I’m computer challenged, but I get most of what I want on my computer. I go on this site, I frequent youtube, I go to a writers’ site, and that’s about all I need a computer for. There are things about the computer that hamper me, though. It is frustrating.

I am gifted “using & manipulating” computers whether it be “computer hardware or software”. I have some strong points regarding computers yet have some weak points when dealing with computers.

I wish i knew how to build a computer

No not how my brain works, but i know the basics since i was in college and used computers a lot, and i have a gaming laptop i use frequently now. My boyfriend works in automation and is autistic, he has what he calls a mind palace (ive heard others refer to it too), where he can build systems in his head and manipulate them. He said he sees it like in 3D. Ive seen him fix things like his arcade machines, build computers, and figure new things out. He gets in the zone lol

Pretty good with them. I can’t write code, I only ever got unto html and css back in the day. I can build stuff with some youtube guidance at first.

I’m not gifted by any means but I know my way around computers and phones pretty well. I would know next to nothing if I didn’t work in a computer repair spot for as long as I did. Hated the job but I learned a lot. I’m most knowledgeable about iPhone.

I don’t know about gifted, but I have been using a computer since I was a child. We had a computer in the library when I was in grade school and later got a computer at home when in teens. First a Vic20 then a commodore64. Once PC’s came out, I have almost consistently had one of those since I was somewhere in the 18 to 20? year old range.
