I do apartment maintenance and it can become very demanding and stressful. A lot of norms don’t hang in there when they start getting the 3 a.m. floods or who knows what. Can’t really predict what’s going to happen next. And you have to deal with some panicking people that threaten to sui you sometimes. Every thing you do can potentially end in a lawsuit. That’s the bad part but there’s lots of good. I’ve been doing it 25 years and it can be hell when you’re paranoid. I’ve recovered well and make enough my wife can stay home. And takes care of the kids. I work unsupervised and that’s the best. Get to meat a lot of people for a few minutes here and there , I like that.
I’m not employed anymore and likely never will again. I got removed from the military due to being diagnosed schizophrenic so they retired me at the age of 22 and now I will be making nearly 7,000$ a month from veteran benefits and such. So everything worked out quite nicely for me. But maybe once I have my archaeology degree in Germany I might do it part time or hell if I get better in the next decade or two I might be a teacher at a university, who knows but I just want to be like Indiana Jones!! Hehe
That’s a good income working or not
Yes, and it’s a very rare thing to get this kind of money from them too. Very, very rare.
I have several projects going on.
I write boring and humor articles for pay,
On my time, I’ve got two ongoing novel-ish projects.
Its fun, but exhausting.
Thank you for responding.
I collect SSDI plus I own rental property and other investments.
I worked full time at a residential school for kids with developmental disabilities and mental illness. It was very high-stress and physically demanding. I had to leave after an injury, but my illness did not get in the way. I now have an internship in a more administrative role in the mental health field.
I haven’t worked in over three years. Doctor says I’m ‘unfit for work’
For a while I was a cam girl. That was fun and easy money. I also didn’t need to leave my house so that’s cool.
I’m currently working as a general laborer in a factory, doing packaging/shipping at the moment. It’s not a bad job, it’s just the pace at times that can get stressful, especially on days my brain isn’t cooperating up to speed.
I’m working as a personal assistant for someone who is disabled. The pay isn’t great but I really like it so far.
I worked full time in the Education field as a special education teachers aide and Substitute teacher.
Did this for over 23 years.
I no longer work and currently collect disability and a pension.
Havent worked for 9 years since my first meltdown.
Had my very first interview in 9 years (telephone) a few weeks back which I nailed yay - didnt get the job but I was proud that I could make up years of fake resume and actually believe it when I was asked what I had done recently
.
Not sure if I am deluding myself by thinking I am going to get a job again …but atleast I am having fun trying.
