If you asked me this 5 years ago, I would have said the complete opposite. But now I get up quite early. I think it might be a med thing.

It’s terrible, actually. Everything during the day happens when I’d naturally be asleep. Not sure what’s to be done about it.

@anon98459728 My brother’s an early bird too. He gets up for school at like 4 in the morning. He says he likes to have time to lounge around before school.

@Rhubot Lol, my pdoc told me to try and be in bed by midnight. It’s 3:30am, so… I guess you can see how that’s going. :sweat_smile:

Im right in the middle
Slight preference for evening (the recognised alternative to early bird / night owl)

I used to be a night owl, staying up late and sleeping in every day. For a while now, though i have been getting up early. I take my meds at 10 p.m. and fall asleep around midnight, so I get up fairly early in the morning. Sometimes earlier than i’d like, but i have a hard time falling back to sleep. When i was depressed last time i was waking up at like 4 a.m. and dragging all day long.

I’m a night owl, can’t help it. Tried for a month to get up early but can’t stay up. I tend to go back to bed till after 9am. At night I go to bed earliest at 10pm but sometimes stay up till midnight. I’m most awake in the evening and night time.

I go to bed very early and wake up very early. My hallucinations seem to be more prominent at night, so that’s why I’m not a night owl.

When I was working I had to be up at 5am. I did this for over twenty years. Now I stay up later but no matter what I still get up early.

My new job is from 12 AM to 8 AM so I have to be a night owl. I was neither before though I was more of an afternoon type of bird

I’m a night owl. I don’t sleep much.

I’ve been a night owl all of my life ever since I was a child. Today, sometimes I get no sleep at night at all. Or, very little. Then, I drag all day. Miserable life really.

I’m a little of both. I go to bed around 12-1 and I’m up by 5-6.

Nope. But I have insomnia and that’s as good as it ever gets.

Before schizophrenia night owl. Now I’m an early bird. I go to bed around 9 and get up 4 or 5 am.
