Are women not allowed to sing on their own anymore?

Or must they be accompanied by a rapper at all times ?

Only the crappy ones. Still lots of good music if you’re willing to look beyond the Billboard chart.

I’m thinking about getting rid of Spotify on my phone because most of the new stuff is garbage!
What a waste…

There are apparently over 35 million songs on Spotify. They have pretty much all of the popular old ones too. If you can’t find music you like then you’re definitely not using it correctly.

I listen to traditional classical on Spotify. Suits me well.

I agree with you about spotify. I think any song that was good got released as a single and you would have heard of it. The rest is 34 million songs that are no good.

The good thing about Spotify is that you can make playlists with the song you like, and use options like shuffle and repeat playlist, so you only hear the songs you want to hear.
It also makes a weekly playlist for you with songs you might like.

I had spotify on my previous laptop. I’d had an account for a few years but had not added the software to my last laptop . I eventually decided to do so and a little later the laptop started having major problems. Might have just been coincidental, but I’m wary about installing it on my current laptop.

As for finding music you like , for me it wasn’t a problem.

Maybe I’m using it wrong.
I’d like to hear newer music but today’s newer stuff sounds awful to me.
That’s all I’m saying.

I’ve got a co-worker who is 46. All the stuff he listens to is the stuff I listened to when I was 10. I like to revisit it once in a while, but there’s all kinds of cool new stuff out there to experience. Nothing worse than becoming one of those old people who has nothing good to say about anything that has happened after they turned 30.

Enjoy today! Live in today!

I lost track of up to date music in 1988. I was 31 then. I’m not into hip hop ,rap and the plethora of similar styles of music.

If you go to artists you like, you can find similar artists that you may also like. There’s also the weekly playlist with suggestions for new songs you may like that is based on the songs you usually listen to. And you can listen to other people’s playlists. I promise you that you won’t dislike all new music. There’s just too much of it, and it’s too varied. A lot of people don’t like the most popular current music, but there’s so much more out there that you can find if you go looking for it.
