Are We the Brilliant Creatives or Is that Suppose to Be Our Relatives?

I have read a few articles from online and I noticed that some articles are saying that its not us schizos who are creative but our relatives?
What do you guys think? I feel like from my own experience and opinion that the schizos are the ones who are creative geniuses not our relatives…

That’s a stereotype. It also annoys the heck out of me. It makes psychosis seem like it’s just som kind of creative explosion. Schizophrenia is not about being creative. Maybe some people channel it into their work, but that’s an entirely different thing.

Also, if you have negative and cognitive symptoms, like most of us do, that makes any kind of creative work very challenging. If anything, schizophrenia makes most of us less creative.

How did u work go van…!!! Are u satisfied with it…!!

I feel like my creativity is stifled by my lack of motivation which I believe comes from schizophrenia. On the other hand when I’m hypo-manic I’m highly creative and have some fantastic artwork, poetry and music to show for it. So it depends on the diagnosis and the individual I think.

I used to be creative now I’m dumbed down by meds but I don’t really care as long as I can focus on business I’m happy

I think it could be either. I don’t see how creativity is or isn’t tied to MI in general.

Really? Isn’t you building boats creative. Be confident.
