Are we so gullible as to believe

some things that, when given a little thought, turn out to be lies? Lies made out of a desire to get you to buy something or are just lies due to fear.

Kind of a general statement, so I’m not sure how to respond. Seemed like you were talking about false advertisement at first, not sure of the “lies due to fear” thing.

I was somewhat gullible and susceptible to lies in my youth.

I like to think I am wiser and better at discerning truth these day.

As you get to know someone you pick up on things and past behavior tends to give you clues on how much you can trust a person and their honesty. Some people I don’t trust at all, even when they may be telling the truth, and others I tend to believe almost anything they say because I have learned to trust them by their past actions.

I dunno, i guess that is all of my thoughts on the subject.

Thanks for your response. I get the “You think too much.” response a lot so your answer is refreshing. People who don’t think enough get into jambs all the time and become dependent on we thinkers.

I wish people thought more, it would be helpful.

People do overthink things sometimes, too much thought over something can lead to anxiety & worry, it can be healthy sometimes i think but not always.

I wish I thought less. I rather not know and just live like everyone else.
