It’s just a survival mechanism. We needed it to survive but it is becoming a liability because of all the negative emotions that arise from it. We’re going to have to overcome it if we want to survive as a species

For a lot of us - our fears are not based in reality. But I can’t stop it.

Irrational fear is uneccesary.

Real fear is helpful.

I ride extreme mtn bike trails. I try to remind myself to keep a healthy fear (respect) of the terrain

I see fear when its not there daily. I am on meds but these thoughts are just intrusive. Just a nuisance.

Fear can be crippling, but it can also let you know something needs to change. It can protect you.

In AA, we see things differently. To us, FEAR meant Fuc* Everything And Run.

I think some fear is necessary to make people cautious.

Idk why some people fear more than others?

Maybe because they have a lower coping threshold for stress.
