@freefee I love that lifestyle and tried to get my husband in on it but he hated anything like that d we had to move from our old house in the country in to town.

I’m trying to decide whether to live a materialistic life or a life of poverty and contemplation. I might have no choice but to live in relative poverty. I’m not too worried about it. Even if I don’t have money life is still okay. I’ve got food and shelter.

I live in town to , I just look at everything like a resource.

Bills, upkeep on my car including gas and maintenance, keeping an apartment clean, my job, school and finding time to go to restaurants with my sisters etc. And a ton of miscellaneous crap that come up every month. I have all the trappings of a normal life, I only have to enjoy myself more.
Maybe our life’s become simple cause we don’t learn anything new. Learning new things makes life complicated. I am preoccupied keeping sane that’s complicated with sz.
I’m late, but I wanted to say, it evolves, we can’t always predict it, but it can be necessary to lay low.

I think the schizophrenic can’t do it, despite Phil saying you need to step up to the plate.
I think I mean: do you have to pay bills? It comes down to money. The less bills i pay the more my life simplyfies.

I think it is important to keep the ‘noggin’ working. Otherwise our brains become mush. This is harder said then done when schizophrenic though.
Sometimes I will forget the plot of a movie I just saw the night before. My answer to this is try to focus harder while watching and talk less to voices.

Paying bills. I meant the less money I spend the more simpler it becomes cause I do less. Spending money is time-consuming. I spend money on things that consume my time. Books, pc, journals. Groceries or fast food?
A simple life is best. I used to want so many things but now I just try to enjoy the small stuff more. God knows I’ve suffered enough over the years without making things too complicated.
