Are scary/horror movies triggering for you?

I’m kinda bored so I was channel surfing the TV, and I came across “Scary Stories To Tell in the Dark” on HBO or something. I watched it for awhile, but had to turn it because it was kinda triggering. I know I sound like a wuss lol but I can’t do scary movies anymore. I used to love them when I was a teen. Halloween can be kinda triggering for this exact reason – even though I like just about everything else about that holiday. How about you? Do you watch scary movies?

I can watch shark, i saw birdbox, these are thrillers, but horror, no i dont want too.

Anything with anyone being demonically possessed I tend to avoid,

Brings me back to those religious delusion thoughts.

But I’m good with basically everything else.

yeah the possessed movies are especially bad. And the torture movies like Saw and Hostel. I like The Shining, though, and that’s a classic scary movie.

Horror movies don’t bother me. I don’t get scared easily.

I love horror movies except the sort of torture movies you mentioned.

i watched a movie about sleep paralysis where a demon was killing people in their sleep that kind of triggered me.

but usually they don’t bother me. i most like to watch movies that touch on or are about schizophrenia.

i haven’t watched a movie in awhile though. like a couple months.

Yes even blood too.

I used to dissect human corpses in university before sz now I can’t imagine myself doing it, I would passout.

I love horror movies, even the schlocky ones.

I don’t do torture porn though. It’s disgusting and shows a severe lack of talent in screenwriting.

I don’t like horror movies.

One of my delusions wa that everything I think of will become my next torture death. So all these scenes from movies came to mind. That is one reason I’m put off horror. And gore to an extent. I just don’t enjoy violent films it’s not entertaining. Anymore. Well apart from sometimes. I enjoyed Leon the professuonal for example

I don’t usually like them, but I like some gothic heavy metal sometimes. I think they’re both the same, but some people act like the music is worse.

I’m the minority, the more horror or disturbing the better I feel. I don’t have a problem the anything but the Elm Street movies and I Spit On Your Grave type. But Saw, etc. I’m good.

Nope. I can’t watch them :joy:

Not usually triggering. Occasionally a movie will keep me up at night. But rarely

I love horror movies! Haven’t found any that are triggering yet.
