Are Oakley a good sunglasses brand?

Are they recognisable?

A lot of people seem to like them and be loyal to them.

I don’t care for their style much.

If you like paying too much for badly made, overpriced crap, then, yes.

Next question?

Fair enough. I can get you 25 percent for those too. But only if you want.

My Oakley’s have lasted me since 2019 and still are strong.

My $70 prescription RayBan clones are five years old and doing great.

I paid ÂŁ187 British Pounds for mine and they were shipped from the US. Custom made.

I used to like them. Bought a pair once tho and was working on my car in the driveway and ended up backing up over them. Now I dont buy sunglasses above $5.

you know @Sherlock cheep glasses are bad for your eyes. No UV protection.

I appreciate a good lens, but I know when to spend a lot and when to dial it back.

The ones on my face don’t have to be expensive.

Eh, I know what my kids look like anyway

Mine have anti-reflection, anti-scratch, UV screening, and are blended bifocals. Fit perfectly. Not bad for $70. FYI, the manufacturing cost of your Oakleys was about $2 for materials and $100 for advertising.

I personally never seen any advertising here in the UK for Oakley’s. I just know they are good sunglasses.

They’re a fungible product, like vodka. They are set apart by the brand they have cultivated with consumers more than anything else. Buy a $10 bottle of cheap vodka and run it through $1 of charcoal twice and you’ve suddenly got an identical product to ABSOLUT, but at a savings of $20. Educate yourself and take power back from the companies whenever you can.

I buy 100% UV from the chemist. Refuse to pay for expensive sunglasses because I don’t really work outside anymore and because I don’t trust myself. I’m good at losing and breaking things like sunglasses and I refuse to pay for brands anyways because of often inflated prices.

They were good to have when I was younger and rode a Harley. Now that I am older the sun doesn’t bother me. I never wear any.

I like those, but I like Costa Del Mar better myself, ever seen those?
