I have an appointment tomorrow. I’ve had 2 episodes on this new med. What if my psychiatrist thinks I’m faking my episodes? Aren’t antipsychotics supposed to help.
Way to act on your problem. Now, to get a hold of those fears of being lost and not found.
Your Doctor won’t believe you are faking your episodes. Truth is like cream…it always rises to the top.
I have an appt with my therapist tomorrow, too. I don’t want to tell her that I’m hardly eating again and spent the last 3 days laying on the couch. I don’t want her to think I’m already going downhill after being out of the hospital just a month. I don’t want to reveal how paranoid I was at the grocery store today. It’s kind of like I don’t really feel there’s anything she can do, I run out of meds on Friday and have no pdoc now…I think they just believe it’s all “borderline” behavior anyway.
@WhiteRaven Can you ask your therapist if she has any ideas what to do about finding a new pdoc? Let her know it’s urgent since you’re almost out of meds.
She’s known for 3 weeks. My case manager was supposed to help find a new provider but I haven’t heard from her, either. There’s a paucity of providers here, or at least ones taking new clients AND Medicare. I really have run out of ideas… I’m also getting a bit scared.
I’m not sure if I’m remembering this correctly, but aren’t you on court-ordered meds? Can you contact the court and ask for their assistance finding a new provider?
Yeah…court-ordered Abilify which I got 2 weeks ago plus additional Seroquel…which is the one that’s not ordered. Here I think the court only deals with the hospital docs, but it’s a good suggestion and I will give their paper-pusher a ring tomorrow. Thank you, it’s worth a try!
