Applying for a Business Grant with Santander Bank through my University

The funding amount is 1,500. It’s not a large sum by any means but it’s perfect for advertising and maybe some equipment like paper, scanner and etcetera

I would encourage you to make sure you have a sound business case before borrowing the money. Paper is less and less important. I bought a tonne of business cards for Bad Day with a Camera (side-hustle) and then discovered I’m mostly using eCards. Feel free to PM me for ideas for saving on hardware. I’m rooting for you no matter what.

Hey @MisterApple . I’m also studying at The OU. I have 30 credits down of a MA Open. Could you send me the link than I can check if I can apply as well?

How are the studies going?

I wouldn’t spend anything on Facebook advertising

The leads I got from there were a waste of time

It’s going meh, need to get my head down and prepare for the exam tbh. It’s hard when your mood drags and the course isn’t making you happier

Yeah, Facebook has been useless for me so far.

I get so many views and no contact, I’m thinking of running a website but more so. Advertising on things like super prof

Try and avoid a website builder like Wix

Wordpress is quite straight forward to understand

My first year only cost me £35 and using a web builder interface was over £200

It’s funny you mention that, bc I literally just opened a Wix account. Guess I’ll stick to Wordpress.

Thank you

Never applied in the end, I was fast asleep - there goes that opportunity. i’m not too fussed, I only really need to spend £200 on a webcam and whiteboard to get properly started.

I hate Facebook and any form of social media. I deleted most of mine already.
