Last weekend I submitted an online application for assistance from my state. I just checked and saw that my application was denied. Bummer. I didn’t expect to get cash assistance, that’s for people with kids, but I thought I could at least get Medicaid and a food stamp card. Damn, I was really looking forward to buying some decent food.
I’m pretty sure you can appeal the decision.
I don’t think it would do any good. Maybe my bank balance was too high to get approved. I had just received a biweekly pay the day before. I might just buy something decent for dinner anyway, screw it. I could buy some ground beef and tomatoes and make either goulash or spaghetti sauce. Either one would be better than the crap I’ve been eating all week, and would give me dinners for at least three nights. I’ll see. If nothing else I need to get more coffee and a case of water.
