My psychiatrist had some other patients try it. Worked for between 30-40%. Didn’t work for some. Actually made some patients worse (massive anxiety). Don’t recommend pounding a bunch of this stuff unless you have discussed it with a pdoc or nurse first.
Have you tried exercise, its hard to do but I think it may help.
I feel like I have gotten slower but I have not exercising my brains
Yes cognitive symptoms are real and frustrating.
10 years ago I definitely had less negative symptoms. I could use a computer for hours on end doing what I want. Today I used it for like 3 hours and I’m thinking of going to bed because I feel physically tired.
Dam I am in this situation too. I can’t retain anything and reading is hard.
Haldol is making things worse, while KarXT and SEP363856 may only come out in 2024.
I don’t know what I can do with this type of cognition.
I have not tried Vraylar or Captyla. Apart from those I have tried everything. Except some FGAs. I don’t know what to do…
You recovered from the cognitive symptoms? How?
I read that they don’t go away.
Abilify might be better on the brain. Idk
I take Abilify. It has no side effects for me and it takes away the voices.
However, I get thoughts and I can’t find something apart from Haldol that can take away a majority of them.
Clozapine. Is kind of nice. That chalky smooth AP
It is the worst medication I tried! The irony is that it works for me along with Abilify. But, too many side effects.
I def feel pretty potato on most days but I just push to keep learning something new or improving an existing skill
I think I tried this one. It didn’t work. My pdoc was very reluctant to try supplements. I asked for Sarcosine but he prescribed Niacin. Didn’t have any effects.
Invega. Seems to be effective. A little too effective if that makes sense. But you will never have sex again. ■■■■
It didn’t work for my symptoms at all.
I don’t really have any cognitive problems I don’t think. But I can’t keep a job very long. As long as I am not trying to work I don’t really notice anything.
Really? My visuo-spatial memory, tasks that require retention is zero now. I can’t just understand what happened to me. Things were not this bad before.
Also, tasks that require mental effort (ADHD?)-- I find it very difficult to initiate focus.
If it’s cholesterol related issue, it’ll take some time
