I’ve about had it with haldol… i cant take my full dose without being very restless. So im wondering about other medications and latuda is one i haven’t tried.
How do u like it? Do u have any side effects?
I’m on latuda and it works great for me especially with helping me with the depression that comes with schizoeffective disorder. Im on 80mg which is a decent dose. I also take it with risperidone. No side effects.

I’ve been on latuda six years I think.
I like it now.
In the beginning I got horrific jaw clenching that i couldn’t stand and got benzos for jaw clenching.
Thankfully the jaw clenching went away after a while and I got off benzos that didn’t do much for me anyhow.
I have been on high dose and low dose.
I recently (last five months or so) lowered my dose.
I have a little weight gain but I’m not obese .just little little chubby compared to what I was.
I have bad insomnia but I had bad insomnia as a child before medication so may not be entirely latuda fault .
I think latuda has helped me.
I think olanzapine helped me too but gave me too much weight gain yet better sleep I think.

Have you tried benztropine (Cogentin) with your Haldol? I took 2 mg of benztropine at night, and 1 mg in the morning while I was taking Haldol. It helped tremendously

I have but haven’t given it a good try. I’m prescribed 3 mg a day but i think the most i ever tried was 2 mg a day. Maybe i should give it another try.

Definitely you should try it. If your dr allows it, you can go as high as 6 mg per day as far as I know. Please take the full amount of benztropine you’re prescribed. Also, you might need to split it up like I did so it’s always in your system.
