My blood work shows that my testosterone is extremely low, 3.6 nmol/L. But my Dr doesn’t want to fix it. I already lost tons of hair and muscle because of low T. I also read low T increases body fat, worsens sz negative and cognitive symptoms, and lowers energy and mood. Idk why my Dr won’t do anything about it, maybe it worsens sz?
I have also developped gynecomastia like enlarged breasts.
I want to take testosterone.
Actual T is expensive
I’m considering this
I don’t think supplements are enough to help me as mine is extremely low, way under the normal range.
I have lower than believable testosterone, but my doctor found that I could take metformin since I am also insulin resistant, and it fixes my T levels. And help with weird sugar reading I get off and on through the year. I am pre-diabetic, so I try to be really careful not eat too much sugar.
I will try convincing my Dr one more time as I want to know why he won’t fix it. If he still says no I will try supplements but I hope he doesn’t say that it worsens sz.
Hmm yes hopefully he will be helpful.
I stopped metformin a few years ago because it gave me stomach pain after taking it.
Maybe your doctor is avoiding giving you synthetic test because your still young. If you become dependent on it now I think you’d have to be on it for good pretty much. There’s natural ways to boost it. Sleep. Eating well. Lifting heavy. Etc I don’t know if you’ve looked into that
Yea I already sleep, eat well and lift heavy at the gym. I just bought a supplement for testosterone called Tongkat Ali, I will do blood work again in 5 months, hopefully it will go up to the normal range.
True dude hope it works for you.
I have had to stop taking any sort of testosterone supplement since the prostate cancer scare.
Been on and off for like 4 years now. Just about to get back on at the start of the new month. The research I’ve done shows it should definitely help in all sorts of ways for hypogonadal men. Prolongs life as well, on avg. Best of luck with it, I go through a clinic here in US because it’s easier. 100mg cypionate/week.
I was told testosterone can worsen psychosis and therefore was not available to me.
Testosterone can worsen psychosis.
Real problem with TRT is getting off of it once started. It ends up being long term commitment.
I’ve been on TRT for around a year now. It’s given me a new lease of life. Because I’d spent years in bed my muscles had wasted away, now they are back with daily long walks. It’s brought the beauty of life back, if you are low in T get tested in the morning which is you peak point and see how that goes, there is a risk of prostate cancer but if you have regular checks you should be alright. Good luck and I hope you get what you need,
I have taken it in the past. It doesn’t worsen sz.
The issue is that it causes infertility. The reason I was on it was because I had a bad doctor who couldn’t discover the cause (Klonopin) of low t. So, he treated the symptoms. Until, I quit Klonopin and it took 4 years after that for my sex drive to completely recover. It kept on coming and and going in waves. Klonopin is the worst medication I got on. IT destroyed my life.
I got prescribed Androgel 1℅ by my Dr. Blood tests in 3 months. I finally convinced my Dr.
I stopped the T. Called the pharmacy and told them to stop it. Its expensive and did not help my negative symptoms, it just increased my sex drive which I don’t want.
I never had testosterone tested but had symptoms of low T
I Started very small dose of DHEA at 5mg dose lowest I could find as most were 25mg up to 50mg
I like it so far
