@Zoom the Hebrew bible is written in ancient Hebrew.
It is not the same as modern Hebrew, but it is similar and intelligible for Hebrew speakers.
unfortunately all I recognized was Nihon as the name the Japanese have for themselves.

You probably remember we have also different dialects, for example, here in eastern Finland we have some words that have come from Russian … yep Finnish is difficult to learn …
I was taking German using duolingo but I got lazy and quit maybe I might try it again someday.

I studied Spanish for 4 years in school. I can understand much of what is being said by Spanish speakers but have a hard time speaking it myself.
I can converse a little in Spanish, but I wouldn’t say I know the language. I can talk, joke and chat but nothing too profound.
I can speak Afrikaans (a South African language derived from Dutch).
I speak sarcasm quite fluently. That counts right.
