I am from bangkok, Thailand. I am 32 years old. I have been taking risperidone for almost ten years and have no mentual for almost ten years too. And just had an x-ray. It indicates that I have senile chage of bone structure. What should I do?
@Neeranuch, I’ve been on Risperidone for over ten years. I’m postmenopausal now but when I was premenopausal, I had no menstruation when I was on the risperidone pills. When I was on the risperidone shots I had menstruation. I don’t know what you mean by senile change of bone structure. I haven’t been told that I have osteoporosis. No.
Nothing. Unless you wanna get pregnant. Had this problem on risperda l and invega. My Dr lowered my dose of invega and I started getting them again.
Can you still get pregnant on Risperidone?
If you don’t get periods probably not. You shouldn’t be on that medication anyway while pregnant.
Thank you everyone for yr answers. I’m not sure about the meaning of ‘senile change of bone structure’. But the meaning of senile is elderly so i thought it could mean that i had bone as an old people. I dont know. Anyone knows, please leave a comment.
How long were you on the risperidone pills. I have been on the risperidone pills for about eight years. I’m worried about my bone. I read studies. They are related, osteoporosis and period. Senile change of bone structure could mean that i have bone like old people.
When I was baby making age, and on oral Risperdal, I didn’t have periods at all. When the doctor switched me to injectable Risperdal Consta, I started having normal periods again. My prolactin was through the roof on oral Risperdal.
