I need to invest in noise cancelling headphones. Any good ones out there?
I just bought a pair of Bose Quietcomfort 20s on eBay, they’re pretty expensive so I had to get them secondhand. New they’re like $300, but I got a used pair for $160. Not recommended getting it secondhand unless you have handy(wo)man skills and can use a soldering iron.
I’ll report on how good they are when they come in.
Yes I do. Bose is know to be the best of the best when it comes to sound cancellation. However they are quite pricy, like 400 bucks. I have them and can say they are amazing for canceling out noise and helped my anxiety immensely when I lived in the city. However they do not have the best sound quality.
Some cheaper ones were Sony noise cancelling headphones, 90 bucks, had decent noise cancelling and better sound quality in my opinion than the Bose. If you have your volume up really loud they work well.
I found an off brand headphones on Amazon. I’ve seen a few under thirty dollars. Can’t afford Bose.
There’s these guys which are good sound quality and 1/3rd the price of Bose:
I also use Bose earbuds. Like everyone else said, they’re pretty pricey. I really only got them because my dad got them for my birthday.
Thanks for your help. Rox
i have bose . they work great
bose are overpriced.
My voices talk even with music
Sorting through a site. Looking at headphones. Does anyone know if noise cancelling headphones connect to a tv to listen to YouTube etc?
You can connect a splitter to your TV connection that outputs to a 3.5 mm jack that you can plug your earbuds into.

would connect to one of these:
Ive been looking into getting some but haven’t had the $. I’ve had a large pair of skull candy headphones for a few years and they are good but not noise canceling. They’ll have to do until I can afford real ones. I have done some reasearch and it looks like $200 is the minimum you’d have to spend for anything decent that actually cancels sound.
“Anyone have noise cancelling headphones?”
Hell yes! I live with those babes
It helps with stopping from interpreting speech inside noise and with feeling people outside talk ■■■■, mainly because you hear nothing irrelevant with em
Curious, @roxanna, which noise isolating headphones did you get? Hope they work. Not sure of the quality of sub $50 ones.
I haven’t got them yet. Tomorrow but you can help me? I want one where I can connect to my TV. I watch YouTube e through my PS4.
Sure I’ll help. What kind of TV connection do you have? Is it a component cable (like 5 different cables) or is it an HDMI cable?
Really? I’m always extremely impressed with the balance of Bose speakers and headsets. I get what you mean about them being expensive but the thing is I feel like atleast you’re getting a quality set that will last. So many brands will sell you junk and price it at more than it worth. If Bose is expensive atleast they won’t break on you, all my other headphones don’t seem to last as long, they all seem to break for some reason
Really you think so? They are pretty expensive but my bose always end up lasting longer so in the long run I think they may actually be cheaper. They’re actually so balanced though, I’m alway impressed by Bose speakers and headsets
