Anyone ever been to prison or jail?

Where was it? What was your experience like?

I escaped from Alcatraz back in 1962

Been here and there was a play inside too i still can remember the voices of prisoners they played.

I was a regular at the city drunk tank back in my youth.

I don’t think I was popular. Barfed all over.

Been twice, but swiftly transferred to a hospital

One day for a failure to appear.

The mental hospital is as close as I’d like to get to jail

I have never been to prison. I cracked a window with a chair trying to escape a hospital commital and threw a coffee cup at a doctor once when I was involuntarily committed by my parents. THey sent me to jail for a bit. It was boring. It sucked.

Jail was cold…it also sucks when they put you in the suicide vest and your ass hangs out for everyone to see.

No, I have not been in prison or jail.

I have to keep reminding myself not to romanticize going off of my antipsychotic. I have a good reason to believe that I might end up in jail off of medication.

no, i got arrested once for some dumb reason, at the trial i ended up getting community service, but the people after me who were all there for the same reason at the same location situation and everything got no penalty as their mother has connections in community. i asked the judge and they said its already done so i had to do community service anyway. if i wouldve been just a few minutes after them the whole thing wouldve been thrown out

I spent the night in jail once but when it went to court the case was dismissed. It is terribly uncomfortable. After sitting on the floor all night long my butt was not cushion enough and I had to shift my position every two minutes. If my mugshot ever gets out I’ll be humiliated.

Yes I was in jail for a week. I did not handle it very well.

I was in a young offenders institute for about a month

The sentence was 12 months, but I got released on appeal at the crown court

Ended up on the medical wing.

Most people there had mental problems

My diagnosis at that time was drug-induced psychosis

The pdoc from my local area came to assess me for the court.

That was when I was 17

He would remain my doctor until I was about 33

Long time

it was here

Because I was on medical wing, I was allowed a playstation

My mother tried to sneak in GTA, but I wasn’t allowed it in my cell because I was underage

:person_facepalming:

The food was good. Back then we were allowed to smoke in our cells, but we were not allowed lighters

Staff used to get pissed off with me constantly asking for lighters when I had backy

I remember when I was released, we went to Mc Donalds on the way home

After being back in the community for just a week, I was back on drugs, but this time I got detained in a forensic ward in the local area

I would add that looking back, the people trying to help me were ahead of the game in terms of dealing with my crimes as a product of drug use - hospital not prison

But even now I see that in the US many people in the situation I was in back then in c2004 are not getting that compassion from the system

I have not been to jail physically. But I am in house jail for life metaphorically. I am no good to the people outside of house and office which is where the life is.

I like to be part of some committee or some club to make my presence visible to the society. Hope it happens in the future.
