Anyone else afraid of sea creatures?

We are on vacation near the Gulf of Mexico. When we went for a walk on the beach there were all these dead starfish washed up on the beach. I picked up a seashell and there was some bugeyed critter in it. Meanwhile people are swimming in the ocean! Wtf?! How do people just do that?

I don’t know. Can anyone else relate?

Edit: I should say I enjoy the beach a lot. Just the ocean and the stuff in it freak me out.

i love all sea creatures

I have no problem but I do get anxious if there is something next to me :flushed:
Usually though on the shore there are only tiny fish and such.

You should’ve bought a phone cover to take pictures under the sea! I actually have Go Pro  Maybe I have some pictures from the last trip. Let me look it up!

Me and my friends in high school used to go to the beach as often as possible. It wasn’t our choice, I live in California and going to the beach is mandatory by law. We always went swimming but we did worry about sharks and jellyfish. And going to beaches with lots of seaweed in the water was creepy because when you’re standing in the water up to your chest and you step on seaweed or it brushes against your leg it makes you think it is something out to get you.

But oh man, when Jaws came out, that freaked everyone out and increased our fears of being attacked by a shark by 50 times.

But it did not keep us out of the water. We used to get drunk and smoke pot and then go bodysurfing for an hour. I don’t recommend it to anybody but we were dumb kids and didn’t care.
