Doc might switch me to cobenfy. My blood sugar is around 300-400 every day now that im on zyprexa. Ive even tried to eat much healthier (low carb/sugar) and my blood sugar remains high.
My pdoc is OK with trying cobenfy and im all for less effects and I read the efficacy of the drug was pretty decent. Coming off latuda I realize its strengths but I dont want to return because of severe akathisia and this feeling of despair that I have on the drug.
I was wondering the same. I’m in France and I really want to test it, I even tried chewing betel nuts that have the same mechanisms than Cobenfy. It’s not available in my country yet.
I was put on 100mg of Cobenfy to start, and it def helps with voices and stuff, but I couldn’t handle the side effects.
Eventually went down to 50mg, and even that was harsh on me. Heart palpitations.
If your positives are bad, I’d say it’s worth a shot. But if you have pretty decent insight into your positives, the side effects may not be worth it. Pros and cons.
Thats for the heads up. I read it could increase heart rate and blood pressure but it said it was something like 11% experienced that.
Im wondering if beta blockers can help those side effexts. I already experience chest pains and dont want to take too much of a risk.
Im definitely gonna ask my medical doctor about the side effects. I soo tired of all of these meds…I bet i could probably get by on a minimal dose of vraylar or something with lower side effexts. Im about done hoping to find the right meds man..
Was already on those when I started Cobenfy, but no sudden spike in my stats after starting the med. Blood pressure did chart down a bit along with my weight.
Truthfully I’m interested in weather the med works or Is yet another invega risperidol perphenizine latuda the list goes on the only one that seems to work for me is haldol
Idk if this is against the rules HOWEVER I think a lot of meds simply don’t work and are a waste of time and nobody should take them
