Anybody else get an Amber Alert late last night in WA state?

It was about 1:00 and all the lights were off. That thing sounds like I just broke in nuclear facility or something. I just kept telling myself it probley just two parents fighting over there kid(s).

wow you live in washington state? I would be taking advantage of the legal weed there if I lived there…my cousin lives in Seattle, he loves it.!

Yeah, I’m from here. Were getting pushed out of the Seattle area with prices skyrocketing. I don’t blame people this place is great! Just apprehensive about where to go.

I’m sorry to hear that. I don’t know you were a “we”? you live with someone? probably none of my business…you don’t have to answer that.

No I live alone but my mom and brother are in the area  Its the NY Times fault they publishing articles about this is the place to be post global warming. I don’t see to many locals around anymore. I met one the other day at the bus stop but he was homeless.

I wish they would send a follow up text about the amber alerts. They don’t really update the website often enough and it isn’t phone friendly.

I imagine you get a lot of new people moving there because of legal weed? plus the Seattle area has such beautiful weather. my cousin can’t quit talking about how much he loves it there. I’m sorry for your plight.

God has a plan. I’m guilty as well. I moved to California ages ago.

Good answer. I look to God for the solutions to all my problems. You are a really nice woman, I know somehow it will work out.

Thanks @jukebox. I don’t let it get me bitter. I swear it says some where in the Bible “I came to your lands and you did not welcome me”. Least that’s what I remember. I’m fully prepared to cross over. God does reverse psychology on me and won’t let me do it which I’m happy about  The gift is eternal life. I know that.
when my Grandmother died right before she said “there is a man in a suit and he says he is my guide”. Why he wasn’t in a robe I don’t know but some people including children who have near death experiences bring up this guy in a suit. Anyways way off topic.
The important thing is we do everything we can to love each other and protect thoughs who can’t protect themselves like children, elderly and animals.
Most of the amber alerts are parents in a brawl but there are exceptions which is why I keep it on my phone.

I think you’re referring to when Jesus said, " I am not welcome in my own town" something like that…that’s why Jesus offered salvation to the gentiles because the jews rejected him. He came to save the jewish people. I am glad you won’t kill yourself. I look and dream forward to when I get to Heaven. I know if I took my life I wouldn’t see Heaven, so I bide my time. You seem very grounded with all that you have on your plate. I will pray for you.

Yes… I got the Amber alert. (Those really upset me.)

The 23 month old toddler was taken by his father and found safe early this morning.

I am so sad when I see what has happened to my city. I was born here… at Ballard Swedish. My parent’s first home was on Phinney Ridge.

The town I grew up in is almost gone. Don’t get me started on that silly “Ferris Wheel” on Pier 57. OH… and the destruction of South Lake Union is heart breaking.

Good I’m glad the baby is safe.

Ballard, huh? You are from here! I read Ballard is getting torn apart. I’m afraid its not much different over here on the Eastside. Been out here since I was a kid, minus a few years. Its heartbreaking.

I was born and raised here. I remember the green belt and the lake views from the 99 corridor all the way into Woodland park Zoo.

It was miles and miles of trees… now it’s miles and miles of cheep condos that block out the sun.

So… Eastside? Bellevue… Medina … Kirkland… Nice areas. I’ve been wanting to go the opposite direction and end up on Vashon.

I know…I don’t really have a productive way to release anger about it. Just trying to adapt and stay on top of things.

I’m in Redmond currently. The islands are great! Really like it up around Forks but I have no idea where I would get services.

Redmond is nice. You still have trees and less traffic.

If I don’t end up on Vashon… I will most likely head north to Shoreline or Edmonds where the price of housing is a bit cheaper. I know I’ll be staying here near King County for while… My brothers… my parents… my cousins… the majority all still here.

Plus we (king county) have some excellent services…

That’s it exactly. Leaving the county probley wouldn’t be wise. My apartment complex is out of control with raising the rent though. I have thought about Edmonds or Everett area. Some nice people around there. But that would be a different county. I would have planned this better if I knew big changes were coming. But like my mom says “things have a way of working out”.

I keep watching Snohomish County… in my small opinion… they are catching up to King as far as homeless help, and other services.

When I googled Mental Health services for Snohomish… there were a lot of resources that came up. They are trying to be as good too. Yes… there is room to go. But at least it seems they are trying to move in a good direction.
