Any Gen X have Doc Martins

I have 2 pairs of shoes. Teva ReEmbers and Doc Martin Boots.

My first Docs I got at 18.

Sketchers, Rockport Walkers, Red Wing hiking shoes, and Wind River hiking boots.

I have a pair of Deer Stagg dress shoes I maybe wear once a year.

Nice collection of shoes. OZ

No and I wouldn’t buy any now. They stopped making them the old way several years ago. I did have a link to a company that is making boots with the old Doc Martin blueprint

These look great. Just like docs.

They were the makers of Doc’s for 35 years before Doc’s manufacturing was moved to China.

For the record, it isn’t the facpry that is the issue. It is the private company that bought Docs and sacrificed quality for.lower quality materials.

My husband got me these a few days ago. Wearing them for the first time out to get groceries.

Really these are from China? But they are a British icon.

Wow that was quite a collection.

I hear they’re all made in China nowadays, are very over priced, and just aren’t the quality they used to be.

125$ for a made in China boot?

That’s a hard pass for me.

Used to be great boots but expensive. Back in the noughties I had this pair of steel capped lace high top doc’s. Such good boots when I worked in the bookshop as I’d do a lot of walking but still robust and lasted ages. I’d love another pair but can’t justify the high price and it’s interesting that they’ve sold out so to speak.
