Anxiety from Invega or lithium

I take lithium and invega together to treat schizophrenia and bipolar 2. Overall my symptoms are controlled but do get lot of anxiety and agrophobia. That has made me house bound.

Does anyone else gets anxiety or agrophobia from these meds?

She has prescribed me Ativan but they are habit forming and addicting so I don’t want to take it

Sorry I believe I accidentally deleted my post maybe.

Can you ask your dr for a different anxiety medicine?

Well I tried busparrrr and it caused homocidal thoughts ….i am taking propranolol its helping a bit not with agrophobia though ……i am house bound and i want to be free ……I believe invega is the culprit of my agrophobia however it is helping my positive symptoms very well

Have you tried anxiety specific therapy? That’s helped me. I also take gabapentin. I used to take clonazepam but my new dr didn’t like that one. So I got switched to gabapentin. @Htoor

I have agoraphobia. I try to leave the house as little as possible because I get bad panic attacks when I go out. I’m scared of having a bad panic attack in public and not having anywhere to go or sit down.

I sometimes take Ativan before I go out. It helps. Im also on Cipralex and Olanzapine.

I’m in the same situation. The further I get from my house on the bus or train, the worse I feel.

Yeah couple years after Clozaril I started to get fear of being on highways or bridges in a car even if I’m not driving, it sucks

Sometimes I have panic attacks in subway or bus too, but not as much

Im still on waiting list for therapy

I also have height phobia which makes it hard for me to go on bridges

I have very mild agoraphobia. It’s uncomfortable to go to the laundry room, garbage room, or to the stores. If it’s a new place I have to visit, I get super bad anxiety. I take Abilify in pill form, but the doctor wants me on Invega.
