It’s starting to get in the nineties here this week…already uncomfortable in the house during the day…when the temps get to 100 degrees f. and over we really suffer…hate it.
Any way you can block out some of the heat
Do you have a air conditioner? Or fans?
If I was without AC, I think I would be going and hanging out in the library or grocery store or gas station or anyplace else that had AC to stay cool until the worst part of the day passed.
I used to work laborous jobs in it when I was younger, and you do adjust to it somewhat , but it can still be grueling.
I do less well in heat now. I’m not sure if its the weight , or diabetes or medication or something else, but extreme heat really affects me negatively now.
I used to ride road bikes in Florida summers when i was younger and didn’t think anything about it…now i wimp out at anything above 75 F. Definitely the meds affect the body’s ability to adjust to heat.
It’s cold here in Ontario can I ask what state/province/country your in I’m very curious
I looked at your information yeah Oklahoma Is in USA yeah it’s probably warm there
I almost suffered a heatstroke when I visited Bermuda last year.
I cannot stand temperatures over 75 degrees
For me it’s my meds, especially the Risperdal
I went on a CC Procession this time last year in Omaha Nebraska and almost suffered a heat stroke. I walked as far as I could but gave in and got on the air conditioned bus trolley in the end. All my AP’s make me highly sensitive to heat.
yes, @SkinnyMe I think heat is dangerous…more than cold…i don’t do well when I"m hot.
I’m enjoying every minute of summer. This winter nearly killed me. Wretched.
Over here the winter was so warm I didn’t need a winter coat at all it was the weirdest winter ever
I like the heat, but I prefer the cold.
This is the one rare time I can rejoice in Canadian weather. Summers are perfect here lol I always am confused about people who complain about summer but I guess it makes sense if someone lives in Arizona which I hear is an oven.
I can understand why you @jukebox can’t handle the heat. When I played a soccer game I was waaaay more tired than I was with out medicine. It was so tired it was obvious…… I almost callaps. Also the game was on a hot day. I had to take my self out of of the game because I would have collapsed. I could tell it was my antipsychotic…… It was a long time ago but I think it was clozapine .
Say that again after you have arthritis.
It was a milder winter here, but the problem for me is that everything is dead and there is not much for me to photograph.
Do you have blackout curtains?
Those super helped when I lived in Texas.
It got wicked hot there too.
You can even put aluminum foil on your widows!
Serves to block light and scare your neighbors!
For me the worst part was dangerous ice even in February I’m hoping next winter will be a lot better
Why put aluminum foil on your head when you can put it all over your house
it’s a rental and there’s no place to hang curtains…we have blinds that block most of the sunlight. not much help really.
Do you consistently get overheated. What medicines do you take?
