Dang, I guess hitting a 95 mph fastball isn’t hard enough… I hope he gets the help he needs.

Hopefully he has a few million left in the bank to get the best care and help. Don’t major league players make bank? I hope he still has it. It could be enough for the rest of his life if spent wisely.

yeah hopefully he will be a schizo with money and not poor like many

He probably made league minimum 1/2 mil
man, having money doesn’t make sz easier. the only difference is he can afford better treatment.

I believe I read he made about 1 million in MLB. Also on YouTube comments a lot of people think he can get better and come back to baseball. Shows how little is understood about such mental illness in general public.

I think having money does make life easier. Either way with or without schiz

I read different things like he has 50k - 500k in net worth. I thought he would have more. Yes, he made over 1mm in career earnings but that’s not a lot and he probably spent most of it. He made like 500k a year. I feel so bad for this guy. If he has 500k in the bank, it’s not much and he doesn’t qualify for benefits unless he spends it all.

It makes it a billion times easier knowing you will never be homeless, don’t have to rely on family or friends, that some girls like men with money, and you get the best treatment and care like in home nursing and 24/7 staff.

of course money helps, I’m not disputing that. But I’m sure that’s not on his mind at the moment. I hope he comes back as @lifebygrace said, it could help the sz community. But who gives a ■■■■ right

Basically he is broke with a potential girlfriend or spouse. I can’t believe I’m 3-4 years older than him. I feel so old now!!!

Ya, hopefully he can bring good PR to us and get us de-stigmatized. We are a special breed of people.

I feel really bad for him. He got arrested for being homless (tresspassing I think behind an airport) and is in a detention center or some ■■■■. That’s messed up! He should be getting proper help and a good lawyer. Maybe people can donate or something.

I live in LA, I’m a fan of his. Obviously didn’t know about his ‘stuff’, now that he’s out, let’s support him. He’s got a good teammate in JTurner!

I’d come back if I could make that kind of money. Even if I felt like total s***. I’d just have to fight through it.

He had better get his money placed in a beneficial trust ASAP or it will be gone in a blink of the eye.

They found him walking on unholy ground didn’t they

Genuine question, do you (anybody here) think he can play on APs? I figured after an episode like that he’d be unable to

I read his family was glad to see his mugshot on tv knowing he is alive. Damn this disease.
Well, there’s no precedent, he was a tough out and had good speed on the base paths.

Of course he can play on APs…there are many people who work here. I posted how it was a myth that majority of schizophrenics don’t work. In reality, after a number of years, many will be able to work. These top athletes don’t get to where they are by having weak willpower. If anything, they are able to tolerate immense amounts of pain to get to the top of a sport. I am confident he will be able to play again.

A simple note:
The schizophrenia appeared in a sport man,at the height of youth,vital strength and self-immunity,owns money and famous !

This speech is said to those who adhere to the issues of poor immunity system,bad living conditions and more

If the sz is inherited by birth;
How did the man reach to the living situations that preceded the sz appearance ?

Another note;
Are you envying a man for a handful money without consoling his ordeal ?
Money is not a cure for schizophrenia,but it reduces the severity of the need for charitable donation !
