wtf? i couldnt fall asleep at all this night because of this med. i am sure its the med. it never happened to me before it. and i am on my feet now since 22 hours i feel tired but my head is so cloudy, i can make another 22 hours like this lol… did you some of you had insomnia on some of your meds? i guess its not good this…
seroquel was suppose to be sedative …i was wondering u could talk that stuff to ur pdoc…!!!
I have severe insomnia and seroquel is the one med that can actually allow me to fall asleep. What dose are you taking and how long have you been taking it?
Although I believe it is uncommon, insomnia is and can be a side effect of taking seroquel. As @far_cry0 said, talk to your psychiatrist / doctor about it, you might need your meds changed if this continues.
@Hybrid, its been 2 weeks that I take 25 mgs. this insomnia is happening to me just now. tbh I sometimes need to be sure just by my own if I need a med or another. so I try to figure by my own now if this Seroquel helps me or its doing the opposite. there is a possibility that I am a borderline so meds act strangely on me too. but my question is maybe that 2 weeks is too soon to see, maybe give it a try still for a bit more time?
Well that is a pretty low dose, and seen as it has only been two weeks, I think it would be a good idea to give it a little more time. Still, if you have the chance to talk to your doctor about it, go for it, as they will know what is best for you.
I sleep like a baby on 200-300 mg. But Nozinan, (Levomepromazin) another sedative antipsychotic medicine, is supposed to knock people out…it did nothing to me. I was on 175 mg and did not fall asleep at all for a week.
Yeah, I know about this. I take 200 mg of Seroquel every night and there are STILL some nights that I can’t sleep. Take last night, and three nights ago, for instance.
About half a year ago I stayed awake for 5 days straight and had nights off and on where I couldn’t sleep for about a month or two. It happens. I don’t know if it is the med because I remember to that off medication. Just keep trying to sleep when it is time to do so. It should pass.
