I was diagnosed with psychotic episodes. Not sz. I have negatives and cognitives. And am weaning off the AP at the moment (under the supervision of pdoc) and hoping my positives don’t come back
Was anyone else diagnosed with this?
I appreciate this forum, but I don’t know if I am welcome here.
Psychotic episodes can be dangerous as recovery gets increasingly difficult the more of them you experience. But APs often worsen negatives. I understand your desire to feel better but please be careful. Tell everyone around you to keep an eye on your behavior, to avoid relapsing.
I only have psychosis and hear voices, the delusions and everything have stopped but I still hear the voices. I always feel so welcome here. Its a haven for us all
Thanks daydreamer! all the best with the community champion thing I’m rooting for u too . It sounds like a great opportunity n u being bit nervous about it shows just how much u care for the job.
Thanks, I did think I read somewhere related conditions are included but I was looking today n I couldn’t see where I saw it that’s why I thought I’d double check.
Welcome. I have all the symptoms of sz and I do have the diagnosis but I got sick at 38 so I have run into some doctors who swear you can’t get sz in your 30s.
I have also been diagnosed with delusional disorder and Psychosis NOS. My current doc at the VA thinks I have a trauma disorder that trumps the Sz. They are all in the same spectrum but I also hallucinate so what I have is more than just delusional disorder but delusions and negative symptoms are my chief complaint.
