Am i hearing their thoughts? I think my voices some times impersonate people i am speaking with

Hi! Im new here and to the diagnosis…

Rough week so my symptoms are very aggressive. Sometimes i here people say things that they deny saying… For instance i heard a man ask me if i was deaf today in his voice. I responded with "im not deaf. "
Im only questioning it because it happens alot lately
Im attempting to waitress.
Im pretty sure im fired

Hello and welcome!

Waitressing is a tough job. You have to spend a lot of time interacting with people and trying to be normal in order to get paid. Good luck with it. I only lasted six weeks as a waitress, but that was before I got properly medicated. Are you taking anything currently?

They had me on 30 mg haldol twice a day along with a bunch of other stuff… The side effects were so bad i asked to try a new med. They prescribed lamictal
My worlds are colliding and its difficult for me to differentiate.
Plus i cant sleep.
Im not even sure this med will help.
The levels are not up on it yet and im struggling. I go back in a couple of days

Yeah, haldol can be pretty harsh. Good luck with your transition. I hope lamictal works better for you. It usually takes eight weeks or so to know how it will affect you.

Im afraid i need to go in patient again

Sometimes, the hospital can really help. If you’re in crisis, it might be a good idea. Med changes are hard.

I used to have that exact same experience, where I would have auditory hallucinations of people talking to me, saying things they weren’t actually saying. It’s difficult because then you never really know what is really being said.

It causes alot of problems in my life. Its a never-ending cycle. It causes .me to alienate my self too

Welcome  I am sorry you’re experiencing difficulty. I had had bad side effects from meds too. It’s difficult. Maybe being in the hospital can be a benefit to you at this time. I wish you well, regardless.
